Nevada Asbestos : What you need to know

Nevada has adopted the federal standard for asbestos exposure in general industry (brake and clutch repair, custodial work, and the manufacture of asbestos-containing products (NAC 618.950)). The state has adopted the federal standards for protecting the safety and health of employees during asbestos abatement activities (alteration, repair, demolition, renovation, and removal) by reference (NAC 618.950). The state's requirements for asbestos abatement certification follow federal certification guidelines (NAC 618.910 to 618.948), except that state standards include fees.

State requirements must be at least as strict as federal requirements; otherwise, the federal rules apply.
