Iowa has adopted by reference the federal rules for hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) in general industry (IAC 875-10.20(88)) and construction (IAC 875-26.1(88)) workplaces.
The Iowa Workforce Development/Division of Labor Services administers and enforces workplace safety rules for private and public sector workplaces in the state.
