State Rule Repealed

Washington voters have passed an initiative to repeal the Department of Labor and Industry's ergonomics rule. The state's ergonomics rule had been implemented on July 1, 2002. It was aimed at minimizing repetitive motion injuries (RMIs) or work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in the workplace by reducing employee exposure to specific workplace hazards.
