Rules. The federal OSH Act governs workplace safety and health in the private sector. There is no federal or state workplace safety standard for public sector employers which are not federal agencies.

Administration and enforcement. OSHA administers and enforces occupational safety and health requirements for private sector employers in Florida. There are no workplace safety regulatory requirements for nonfederal public sector employers.
