An employer with a certified cost containment program that includes a documented safety committee and/or safety coordinator may qualify for a workers’ compensation insurance premium dividend. There are no additional mandatory requirements for employers to establish a safety committee under federal or state workplace safety and health rules.
The Colorado Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board administers the requirements for the cost containment program.
