Vermont Safety Plans: What you need to know

An employer with an unusually poor safety record must have a written accident prevention plan (APP).

The Vermont Department of Labor’s (DOL) Occupational Safety and Health Administration administers workplace safety and health rules in public and private sector workplaces. DOL’s Workers’ Compensation Division administers the APP requirements.

VT Stat. 21 Sec. 624

An employer with an unusually poor safety record must design and implement a written APP, which must be distributed to all employees.
